Hosting and server log files

This website is hosted by Hetzner Online GmbH (Industriestr. 25, 91710 Gunzenhausen, Germany) in a data centre in Helsinki, Finland, inside the European Union. A data processing agreement pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR is in place.

When you visit, the server automatically processes technical access data: IP address, date and time, requested resource, HTTP status code, referrer and browser/operating system identifier. This is necessary to deliver the site and to keep it running securely and reliably (for example to fend off attacks). The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR. The data is not combined with other data and is deleted once it is no longer needed for these purposes.

No cookies, no analytics

No cookies are set and nothing is stored in your browser's local storage. There is no reach measurement. Detecting your operating system in the download section (to highlight the matching download) happens only in your browser; nothing is transmitted.

Downloads and links to GitHub

Mumcord's source code, wiki and installers are hosted on GitHub (GitHub, Inc., 88 Colin P. Kelly Jr. Street, San Francisco, CA 94107, USA). The download buttons and other links are plain hyperlinks — no GitHub content, widgets or tracking pixels are embedded. Only when you click such a link does your browser connect to GitHub, which then processes data such as your IP address. I have no influence over this; the GitHub Privacy Statement applies. Data may be transferred to the USA; according to GitHub, it relies on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework and standard contractual clauses for this.

The latest-version details on this site are fetched from GitHub when the site is built, not when you visit. Visiting this site therefore does not cause any connection to GitHub.

Contacting me

If you contact me by email, I process your details to handle the request. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (b) or (f) GDPR. The data is deleted once it is no longer needed. Bug reports via GitHub Issues are public and subject to GitHub's terms.

The Mumcord app

This policy covers the website. The Mumcord app itself sends no telemetry and no automatic crash reports. It only connects to the Mumble servers you add yourself; the respective server operator is responsible for processing there.

Your rights

You have the right of access (Art. 15 GDPR), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20) and to object to processing (Art. 21). Please contact the address above.
